Chris is inspired by the landscapes around her home in South Australia’s Mid North.

By looking and sketching, images emerge from memory, imagination and a deep concern for nature. Chris’s landscapes often feature local birds, fauna and foliage. Her style sits between impressionistic and abstract, articulating layers, patterns, colours and spontaneity.

Working in most mediums, Chris is best known for her expressive brushwork; colour harmony and mastery of luminous watercolour.

Chris studied Fine Art for her Bachelor’s degree and majored in Psychology for her Honours before completing a Diploma of teaching. She is now a practicing psychologist, artist and musician.
 

She has been the recipient of numerous awards in Art Shows across the Mid North and is a Fellow of the Royal South Australian Art Society.
